Adding Gears to BikeExchange’s Blog Content Strategy
When a business like BikeExchange comes knocking on your door looking for SEO and content strategy support, you sort of feel like you’ve made it in your career.
At least that’s the case if you’re an avid cyclist like me and have already viewed BikeExchange as an authority in online bike sales.
Having kicked off an SEO-focused blog content strategy in December 2024, I am excited to share a few pieces of content I’ve written for BikeExchange.
- Best Bikepacking Bikes for Off-Road Adventures
- 11 Bucket List-Worthy Gravel Bike Races in the U.S.
- Buying a Used Bike vs. a New Bike in 2025

When BikeExchange reached out, the company was combating declining organic traffic, with signs of recovery evident in early November. By fixing a few major technical SEO problems, the folks at BikeExchange reversed course and are now seeing strong momentum, as shown in the 1-year organic traffic overview below:

Of course, my role in BikeExchange’s traffic reversal was minimal. I pointed out a view concerning technical issues early on, but the team was already on it and well on their way to a full recovery.
While it’s still early to tell what sort of impact my content strategy work is having, I am stoked to be a part of their digital peloton.
As of now (February 2025), I am delivering two blog posts per month, with the prospect of doing some link building. As things continue to ramp up, I’ll share an update on how things are performing later in the year.
Til then, keep on pedaling and think spring!
